Rental Terms

Car Pickup and Return

• The car is handed over in good technical and visual condition, clean, and with a full fuel tank.
• When returning the car, it must be in a similar condition – clean, with a full tank, and without personal belongings.
• The car can be picked up and returned in Jelgava, Riga, and Riga Airport by prior arrangement.

Rental Period and Mileage

• The car is rented for a pre-agreed period.
• The maximum allowed mileage is 250 km per day. Each additional kilometer is charged at EUR 0.10/km.

Client’s Responsibility

• The client undertakes to use the car in accordance with Road Traffic Regulations and Latvian laws.
• The car may not be handed over to third parties or sublet without written permission.
• A written authorization from the lessor is required for travel outside Latvia.
• The client is obliged to immediately report any damages or technical problems.

Penalties and Additional Fees

• Returning the car dirty – EUR 25.
• Loss of car keys – EUR 100.
• Smoking in the car – EUR 50.
• All fines for traffic violations and parking infringements must be covered by the client.

Payments

• The rental fee is determined at the time of booking and must be paid before receiving the car.
• Late payments are subject to a penalty rate of 0.1% per day of the outstanding amount.

Safety and Guarantees

• The client must hold a valid driving license for the respective vehicle category.
• The car may not be driven under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other intoxicating substances.
• The client is responsible for all damages resulting from improper use.

Termination and Extension of the Agreement

• The client may terminate the rental early by returning the car and settling payment for the used period.
• The rental period may be extended by contacting VRautonoma.lv in advance.
• The lessor reserves the right to terminate the agreement if the client violates the terms.
